A very fun fabric art exhibit by Eastern Sierra quilters (from Mono City to Independence) is on exhibit in the Ellie Randol Room at the Mammoth Lakes Library. Subjects include local flora, fauna, landscapes, and abstracts. These quilts are available for purchase through June 4! A portion of any sales support library programs. Una exposición de arte textil muy amena, realizada por quilters de la Eastern Sierra (desde Mono City hasta Independence), se exhibe actualmente en la Sala Ellie Randol de la Biblioteca de Mammoth Lakes. Dive Into Art: World Oceans Month Poster Competition! Calling all artists! To celebrate World Oceans Month in June, we are hosting a county-wide poster competition to honor the beauty of our oceans and spread awareness about protecting them. All skill levels and types of art welcome, we want to see your vision of the deep blue!

Submission Dates: May 1st – May 30th
Winners Announced: June 8th (World Oceans Day!)
Categories: Juvenile and Adult
Winners in each category!

How to Enter:
1. Create: Design a poster that celebrates or brings awareness to the ocean.

May updates coming your way!
1. Makerspace, Storytime, Itty Bitty Rhyme Time, and D&D all have regular hours. Just keep in mind that there is NO Itty Bitty on the last Friday of the month.
2. Just One More Chapter Book Club is reading Women Without Men: A Novel of Modern Iran by Shahrnush Parsipur. Join us at the Mammoth Lakes Branch this month!
3. Virtual Author Talks are lined up with many exceptional and interesting authors! Head to www.libraryc.org/monocolibraries to register or watch recorded sessions.
4. Free Tech Help is still happening. If you have ANY tech question, are a Mono County resident, and are 18+, give us a call to schedule your appointment!

😵‍💫🧑‍💻📱🙂 Did you know?! There are now two FREE Technology Support Events per month scheduled for May and June (plus one opening for tomorrow, Tuesday April 21!). Have you ever needed help with your email, computer, phone... and didn't know who to ask? If you are a Mono County resident (18 years or older) you can get free, one-on-one technology support. Availability is very limited so contact the library ASAP for more information. Thank you to the Mammoth Lakes Friends of the Library (MLFOL) for supporting this program.
