We are beyond thankful for our little visitor today. Elena Kammerer cousin of our Captains Chris and Charles Rosser stopped by to tour the station today. She was overjoyed to get to wear her cousins helmet and coat while looking through the trucks and using a water extinguisher to help our Jr. Firefighter take his weekly bath!

🚨 PROM PROMISE 🚨

Today, students experienced a powerful and eye-opening demonstration as part of our Prom Promise program. Emergency responders conducted a mock crash and rescue scenario to show the very real consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

First responders worked quickly to extricate victims from a simulated crash scene, giving students a firsthand look at how quickly lives can change in just seconds. The demonstration was intense, emotional, and meant to leave a lasting impact.

Logan County VFD Sta. 200 will be hosting an Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) on Saturday, April 11th and Sunday, April 12th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The class will be held at Logan County VFD Sta. 200, located at 900 East McDonald Ave, Man, WV 25635. Instruction will be provided by Preston Flemings and Bobby Bohem. The written test date will be announced on the first day of class. There are 10 seats available. To reserve or confirm your seat, contact Preston Flemings at 304-688-2344.

🚒🔥 Logan County VFD – Station 200 🔥🚒

Please join us in congratulating one of our Junior Firefighters on successfully obtaining her Firefighter I & Firefighter II certifications!

Taylor Lester we are very proud of your accomplishments and dedication that you show to our communities and emergency services as a whole!

This is a huge accomplishment and a true reflection of her hard work, commitment, and passion for serving her community. She is also currently on track to obtain her EMT-Basic certification, continuing to build the skills needed to answer the call.

We are especially proud to share that she is the 8th out of 16 members in our Junior Firefighter Program to achieve these certifications — a testament to the strength and future of our department and emergency services as a whole.

The future of the fire service is bright here at Station 200.

🇺🇸 Public Announcement – Honoring Our Fallen Hero 🇺🇸

It is with deep respect and gratitude that we announce the homecoming of SSG Tyrone Lamyaithong, who made the ultimate sacrifice while fighting for freedom in Ukraine.

The procession to bring him home will travel from Columbus, OH to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home in Man, WV on Thursday, March 5, 2026 in the evening around 8-9pm. The exact time will be actively updated as the procession comes closer to the Logan County line. Please check back for those details.

We invite our community to line the streets along the route or gather in the field across from the funeral home to pay tribute to this American hero. Please bring American flags, wear patriotic colors, bring candles or small lights, and stand in respectful silence as the procession passes. Veterans and active service members are encouraged to render a salute.

Let us come together as a community to honor SSG Tyrone Lamyaithong’s service, sacrifice, and devotion to our nation and freedom for others. May we show the family that they do not stand alone — their hero is our hero.
