🚲 Another Awesome Year of Stafford Police & Stafford Recreation Bike Camp! 🚲

That’s a wrap on our 2026 Bike Camp! Our Community Policing Unit once again teamed up with Stafford Recreation for one of our favorite camps of the year, helping kids ages 8–14 become safer, stronger, and more confident riders — on good old-fashioned, pedal-powered bicycles!

Throughout the three-day camp, our riders worked on bicycle safety, road awareness, proper riding techniques, and bike-handling skills, while putting in some serious miles!

🚴 Day 1: We kicked things off with a 6.3-mile ride through the Coves section of Beach Haven West, giving our riders a chance to practice their skills out on the road.

🚴 Day 2: We rode from Jennings Community Center to Mill Creek Park, where the kids took on our obstacle course challenge! Congratulations to Connor Matelski and Emily Santorsola, who took the top spots and each received a $25 Wawa gift card! We finished off the day with some amazing ice cream sundaes, generously donated by The Ice Cream Emergency truck! 🍨 A huge thank you for their very generous donation!

🚴 Day 3: Our campers finished strong with an 8.5-mile ride along the Barnegat Branch Trail and a special visit to the Ocean County Fire & First Aid Training Center in Waretown! Of course, no Bike Camp would be complete without some well-earned donuts to celebrate a great week!

We are incredibly proud of all of our campers for the confidence, skills, and determination they showed throughout the week. Most importantly, we hope they leave camp with the knowledge and habits to help them ride safely wherever their bikes take them.

A huge thank you to Stafford Recreation, our Community Policing officers, everyone who helped make the week possible, and especially all of our awesome young riders!

Great job, Bike Camp Class of 2026!
