For National Water Quality Month, WMUA reminds residents to:

- Flush only toilet paper: Not wipes, paper towels or hygiene products
- Trash your grease: Let cooking oils cool and scrape them into the household trash
- Safe med disposal: Use police department drop boxes to dispose of old medication

The clean water discharged from our facility flows directly into nearby streams, sustaining native fish, aquatic plants, and local wildlife. Every day, the WMUA team ensures that the water returned to nature helps the local ecosystem thrive.

Philip Russo applies his extensive technical training to help maintain the main treatment plant and the 32 pump stations throughout WMUA’s service area. His hands-on work ensures that roughly 8 million gallons of wastewater are safely processed every single day.

Off the clock, Philip enjoys detailing sports cars, fishing, and spending time with family at the beach.

Remember: only p*e, p**p and toilet paper go down the toilet. Even "flushable" wipes can clog pipes and damage equipment.

As an Officer in Charge in the Facilities Maintenance Division, Arthur Green is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades for the WMUA. Whether he is marking sewer lines, monitoring contractor sites, or assisting homeowners, Arthur uses his decades of public service experience to ensure every utility issue is resolved. He takes great pride in providing excellent customer service and making residents feel heard.

Off the clock, Arthur is a lifelong Monmouth County resident, the fire chief in the City of Long Branch, and a passionate history buff who serves as President of the West Long Branch Historical Society.
