The Manalapan PBA Local 229 would like to recognize Ptl. JeanMarie Kaminski, Ptl. Hope Barina, and Ptl. Gia Pedone for representing our department at the New Jersey Women in Law Enforcement Annual Leadership Training Conference at iPlay America in Freehold, NJ.

New Jersey Women in Law Enforcement, Inc. (NJWLE) is a professional and inclusive organization of active and retired officers working to strengthen public recognition of the successes and unique contributions of women in law enforcement. During the conference, our officers had the opportunity to network with members of various agencies throughout the region.

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we proudly recognize the outstanding women of the Manalapan PBA Local 229. Thank you for your service, dedication, and continued commitment to the profession!

The members of Manalapan PBA Local 229 extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Lt. John Tate during this incredibly difficult time. Lt. Tate proudly served the Seaside Heights Police Department and was member of the Ocean County Police Academy training staff. Over the years, he played a vital role in shaping the careers of several of our members, providing them with the knowledge, discipline, and leadership that carried into their service to our community. His commitment to law enforcement and to mentoring the next generation of officers will not be forgotten. We stand in support of his family and the Seaside Heights Police Department as they mourn the loss of a respected officer, instructor, and friend.

Shoutout to Jimmy Guarino, Chris Capuzzo, and Dylan Waller for proudly representing Manalapan PBA 229 at the Heroes on the Mat event this past weekend in Wildwood. This event brought together first responders, law enforcement, and military members through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, promoting discipline, resilience, and self-control. Their dedication to training and competition reflects the commitment to readiness, professionalism, and continuous improvement that today’s law enforcement demands. Shoutout to all participants who stepped on the mat and represented their agencies!
