Yesterday evening I was contacted by Linda on behalf of her granddaughter Avril. While they were at the beach, She took her 2 necklaces off and put them in the beach bag along with her brother's necklace. Later on she took them out and put them on her beach towel right before leaving. Her brother picked up the towel not knowing they were on it. They went back and looked but they were sitting below the high tide line. So no water has been washing over them. I met Linda, Avril and her father Chris at the beach to try and find them. After an hour of searching I was able to find the cross necklace but sadly not the other one. It's possible it got caught on the towel and fell off elsewhere or it just doesn't have enough metal/surface area for the detector to "hear" it. Avril was very happy to her cross necklace back. But it does bug me the other did not turn up.

While I was about to get on the parkway for another attempt on a previous recovery, I was contacted by Sean on behalf of his sister-inlaw Jeannette. While she was at the beach with her husband Tom, Sean and the rest of their family in South Seaside Park, Jeannette was down by the shoreline washing off one last bogey board and watched as her engagement rig slipped off and quickly disappeared in the waves. After 20 years of marriage, Her ring was gone in seconds! She was heart broken. Without her knowing, Sean texted me asking if I could help. He had been given my number from his cousin Cagney(I found his necklace in the surf a few years ago in Lavellette). I told Sean I would head there real quick before I head up to Long Branch. While Jeannette and Tom slept, I was on the beach with Sean to try and find it. Sean showed me the approximate area and I began my search right away. Within an hour he was calling Tom to wake him. I found it! Later on in the morning they surprised Jeannette with her ring and told them the story. She was so relieved and happy! Another great ending!

Lost heirloom rings in Avon NJ found!

Yesterday I was contacted by Maureen about her daughter's 3 rings. Rings that first belonged to her grandmother, Then passed down to Maureen who then passed them on to her daughter. While they were at the beach her daughter gave them to her mother to hold while she went for a swim. Maureen placed them on her lap and forgot until they were leaving and her daughter asked for them back. I went out there as soon as possible. Luckily Maureen's husband had his photo geotag turned on in his phone when they took a few pictures. The coordinates and photos put me in the right area. I found all 3 rings within an hour about 10ft in front of where they were sitting. I met with them today to return them to their rightful owner. Another happy ending!
