🚨 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚨

⚠️ ALL OF POLK DRIVE from Old Centreville Road to Manassas Drive is currently CLOSED due to a gas leak in the area.

The closure will remain in place for an undetermined amount of time while crews work to address the situation.

Please avoid the area and use an alternate route.

🚧 Please follow all road closure signs, barriers, and directions from police officers. Do not attempt to drive around barricades or enter the closed roadway.

✅ There is NO threat to public safety.

✈️ Still not over this one! Last weekend, MPPD alongside Manassas City Police Department and Prince William County Sheriff's Office traded in our cruisers for some serious horsepower and hit the runway for the Dulles Plane Pull benefiting Special Olympics Virginia! 🏅💙

Yes… WE PULLED A PLANE. 😂✈️

And we didn’t just pull it, we took home TOP LAW ENFORCEMENT TEAM AND finished 6th place overall out of 24 competitive teams! 🏆

When it comes to supporting our athletes, we’ll go the extra mile… or pull the extra plane! 💪🏼

🍺🚙 Despite the fact that it’s illegal to drive drunk, one person was killed every 44 minutes in a drunk driving crash on our nation’s roads in 2024. That's a total of 11,904 people who died in alcohol-impaired driving crashes in one year.

🚫 Even a small amount of alcohol can affect driving ability. In 2024, there were 2,028 people killed in alcohol-related crashes where a driver had a BAC of .01 to .07.

If you have to do something to make yourself okay to drive, you’re not okay to drive.

Buzzed driving IS drunk driving.
Drive sober or get pulled over. 🚓🚨

MPPD is teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for Saturation Saturday, which means our officers will be out in full force looking for impaired, distracted, speeding, and dangerous drivers.

So let’s review the rules:

🍺 Had a few? Call a ride.
📱 Texting? Nope. Put. It. DOWN.
💨 Speeding? Maybe take your foot off the gas.
👀 Thinking you can sneak by? We see you. 👮‍♂️

The Manassas Park Police Department is teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for Saturation Saturday!

Officers will be increasing patrols and focusing on impaired and dangerous driving to help keep our roads safe.

🍺🚫 If you drink, DON’T DRIVE.
