🚒 A Busy Night at Stone House! 🚨

While most of our community was tucked into bed getting a good night’s sleep, our volunteers were hard at work!

It was a busy night for Stone House Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad, with crews responding to multiple emergency calls throughout the night and getting very little sleep in between.

💪 Long nights, little sleep, and an unwavering commitment to serving our community.

Our volunteers give up their evenings, weekends, and sometimes a good night’s rest to ensure that when our neighbors need help, someone is there to answer the call.

❤️ We’re incredibly proud of the dedication and teamwork our members demonstrate, even when the coffee is doing most of the heavy lifting! ☕️🤣

Because emergencies don’t take the night off, and neither does our commitment to you.

🚒 Service Doesn’t Stop When the Shift Ends!

Being a volunteer firefighter means being ready to answer the call—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Today, Stone House Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad Chief Karasek came across a motor vehicle accident while out in the community.

It’s a reminder that our volunteers don’t just serve when they’re at the firehouse. Whether they’re at work, spending time with family, or simply going about their day, their commitment to helping others never stops.

❤️ Volunteering isn’t just something we do. It’s a commitment to the communities we serve.

We are proud of our dedicated volunteers who continue to make a difference, both on and off duty.

🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Week: Learning Fire Safety Starts Young! 🔥🚒

Chief Karasek spent the morning with some of our youngest community members teaching important fire safety lessons!

The children learned about the importance of having a family fire escape plan, choosing a safe meeting place outside the home, and knowing what to do when a smoke alarm sounds. 🚨🏠

These simple lessons can make a BIG difference in an emergency!

We encourage all families to take a few minutes this week to talk about fire safety, practice their escape plans, and make sure everyone knows where to meet outside.

A big thank you for inviting us to spend the morning with these future firefighters! ❤️🚒

⛳️ Community supporting community! 🚒🚓

Members of Stone House Volunteer Fire & Rescue were proud to get out on the course and support Team Prince William Inc. and Law Enforcement United at their golf tournament!

SHVFD was happy to serve as a lunch sponsor for the event — and, of course, our crew couldn’t pass up the opportunity to hit the course and enjoy a little friendly competition. 😎⛳️

We’re always grateful for opportunities like this to stand alongside our brothers and sisters in public safety and support organizations that give back to those who serve.

Thank you to Team Prince William for putting together a great event, and to everyone who sponsored, participated, and helped make the day a success!

Proud to support those who support our community. ❤️💙

TUESDAY NIGHT 🚒🔥

Our newest recruits were putting in the work tonight, learning and practicing high-rise hose line deployment and repacking.

Deploying hose in stairwells and multi-story buildings presents a different set of challenges than a typical hose stretch. Training on proper deployment, positioning, and repacking helps our members build the skills and muscle memory they’ll need when every second counts.

For our new recruits, nights like these are all about learning the fundamentals, working as a team, and getting plenty of hands-on repetitions. 💪

Interested in learning these skills yourself? No experience is necessary — we provide the training.
