Leadership Prince William’s (LPW) Board of Regents is excited to announce the selection of its new Executive Director, Alfranda “Al” Durr of Al Durr & Associates (ALD). Mr. Durr will officially begin his new position on July 1, 2026, but has already begun working with LPW on the transition. Mr. Durr was selected following a request for qualifications (RFQ) to manage LPW’s comprehensive programs and activities. The Board and ALD will begin contract negotiations immediately.
“With LPW about to celebrate its 20th year and its historic 20th Signature Program class, the Board was looking to offer more to its alumni and future classes. The RFQ was our way of going to the marketplace to see what innovative approaches could benefit LPW and the community,” said LPW’s Board Chair Bob Schneider.
Al is a proud Signature Program Class of 2025 (Spark in the Dark) alumnus and has supported LPW since 2021 by providing leadership training for the Emerging Leaders Program. He is also CEO and Founder of ALD & Associates LLC, an award-winning human capital and business transformation firm. Under his leadership, ALD has earned multiple Prince William Chamber honors, reflecting a strong commitment to leadership, service, community partnership, and regional impact.
“I am honored to be selected as the next Executive Director of LPW and want to thank the Board Regents for their confidence in me to build on the track record of excellence and success from my predecessors,” said Mr. Durr. “As an LPW Alum (Spark in the Dark, Class of ’25), I will be focused on delivering the high-quality leadership programming the Prince William Community deserves. I look forward to meeting with sponsors, alumni, and stakeholders to learn more about how we can build a bright future together while making sure our Signature Program continues to build on our success.”
LPW’s current Executive Director, Charles Gilliam, announced in April 2026 that he would not pursue the RFQ opportunity and will leave LPW on June 30, 2026, after four years of successful service. Mr. Gilliam began as Interim Executive Director when the position became vacant. He was then selected as the permanent director in the fall of 2023 under the leadership of then-Chair Tiffany Izenour. “Without question, Charles was the right leader for LPW for the last four years,” said Izenour. “We are all so appreciative of Charles’s commitment to LPW and his ability to redevelop our programs in a post-COVID world and to pull together a refreshed and energetic board.
