If you are 18 years old or older, we would love to tell you about the benefits given to our members. Welcome to the Official page of the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department. The Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1948 and went into service in 1952. Breeden donated the land to the fire department, and the residents of Yorkshire built the original building on Centreville

Rd. Our new station opened up in 2005 on Patton Lane and the original building was sold. Our first due area is approximately six square miles. Within this area, we serve approximately 2,800 homes, 10,000 residents, and 150 businesses. Our equipment consists of two engines, two ambulances, a heavy rescue, two utility vehicles, and three Chief's vehicles.

YVFD is proud to recognize three of our members who have successfully completed the EMT-Basic course at the Prince William County Public Safety Training Center.

Over the past several months, these dedicated volunteers spent two nights a week in class and gave up their Saturdays to gain the skills needed to serve our community as EMTs.

They’re now prepared to take the NREMT written exam, the final step toward earning their Virginia EMT-Basic certification.

Please join us in congratulating them on their hard work, dedication, and commitment to service! 💪🚑

Today we want to extend a sincere thank you to the leadership of Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department and Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue for coordinating and approving the transfer of OWL Ambulance 502 to the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department.

Interagency cooperation like this does not happen by accident. It takes communication, trust, and a shared commitment to serving the residents of Prince William County at the highest level. We are grateful for the collaboration and leadership that made this possible.

Ambulance 502, soon to be Ambulance 508C, will strengthen our operational readiness and enhance the service we provide to our community. We look forward to putting it to work in support of our citizens.

Thank you again to OWLVFD and PWCDFR for your partnership and continued dedication to the fire and EMS system we are proud to be a part of.
