City of Manawa Brush Pickup - Due to Labor Day, pickup will be Monday, September 14th. Please have your brush out to the curb before the morning of pickup. No pieces larger than 6 feet will be picked up. If you have a lot of brush please make multiple piles that are no higher than 3 feet. Thank you for your cooperation!

Manawa Night Out was a hit! It was awesome to see people enjoying our community and the Manawa Area Veterans Freedom Park!
This was a great way to get together and connect with our local emergency service personnel and groups!

And we were able to dedicate the renaming of the street that leads to the Veterans Park with the family of Melvin O. Handrich.

𝟓:𝟑𝟎𝐩𝐦 - 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐎. 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐖𝐚𝐲. Melvin Oscar Handrich was a soldier in the United States Army during both World War II and the Korean War. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions on August 25 and 26, 1950, during the Battle of Battle Mountain.
