Each May, our nation comes together to honor the courage, sacrifice and dedication of law enforcement officers. Originally established by presidential proclamation President John F. Kennedy in 1962, National Police Week includes Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15th and a week of observances recognizing officers who given their lives in the line of duty, as well as those who continue to serve and protect our communities with dedication and courage.

Thank you for the service of our officers! You will see us wearing mourning bands on our badges this week to pay tribute to those we have lost.

We had a great Spring Cleanup Event. We filled four dumpsters, took in a lot of electronics, but surprisingly fewer than 10 tires. Thank you to the high school students, DPW, and EMS for the help. We had a great time working the event.

We understand people are passionate and want to help, but it must be done the correct way. We don't want to see anyone violate the closed park hours and receive a municipal citation.
