Tonight, Manawa Rural Fire Department and Manawa Rural Ambulance Service trained together on a 1-vehicle 10-50 scenario with unknown injuries and unknown entrapment.
From the initial page, to scene size-up, communication, patient care, extrication, and setting up a landing zone — crews worked through a challenging scenario that included two extrications and the care of an infant patient.
We never know what we may be called to, so we train for the worst and prepare for every scenario possible. Tonight’s training was a great example of communication, teamwork, and critical thinking.
One thing I can say for sure — Manawa Rural Fire and Ambulance make one heck of a team.
Great job by all involved.
