Haynes Street Traffic Pattern During Construction - 8/24

There will be one-way traffic on Haynes Street during daytime construction activities.

Traffic and construction equipment all travel one way from Main Street down to Haynes Street to Alpine.

Detour routes traffic to turn left onto Alpine Street, left onto Russell Street, and ends the detour back on Main Street.

Important news for Mary Cheney and the new library. 📚 Mary Cheney’s last day will be Saturday, August 8th and will be open until 5pm. The new library will be open on Monday, September 14th at 10am. If you have books that need to be turned in between those dates, please visit Whiton Library at 100 N Main St. to turn them in. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks!

ROAD CLOSURE ALERT – Cruisin’ on Main Street 2026

Heads up, Manchester! The annual Cruisin’ on Main Street Car Show rolls into town this Sunday, August 2nd! To keep everyone safe and make room for all the classic cars, Main Street will be closed to all traffic between Hartford Road and Center Street from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All vehicles must be off Main Street by 5:00 a.m. — cars left parked on Main Street may be towed.

Join us for the show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and enjoy fun for the whole family!
