Yesterday marked 100 years since the birth of a quintessential revolutionary figure, bringing Cuba from an exploited sugar colony to a bastion of liberation known the world around.

Even after 100 years, the imperialist powers of the world attempt to meddle in Cuba. From invasions, to assassination attempts, to missiles, to embargos; Cuba has withstood the might of global imperialism readily.

Such a day reminds us to maintain the fight against imperialism, at home and abroad. We as leftists in the imperial core must remember where to strike while residing in the belly of the beast: at its weakest point.

It is the duty of all of us to continue the work Castro undertook, in removing the blight of US imperialism from the Americas, and the world.

Today we celebrate International Whore’s Day, a commemoration of the first s*x worker’s strike in Lyon, France where over 100 workers occupied the Église Saint-Nizier church in retaliation of unsafe working conditions. CWO constituents General Strike NH and Socialist Party joined as protest turned to celebration in Nottingham, where workers fed up with AI replacement and capitalist overreach was momentarily defeated. Amidst plans of a mass protest of NH residents, Tom Moulton rescinds the blight he planned to build on NH’s beautiful landscape, no doubt scared of what the people can do when unified. Nottingham stays untouched, and the workers remain vigilant.
