Congratulations to Noah Baldassario, a fifth-grade student at Bennett Academy in Manchester and winner of his division in the Lt. Governor's Computing Challenge (LGCC) 2026!

Inspired by the challenge's "Coding for Good" theme, Noah set out to make a difference in his community by supporting the work of his mom and her team at MACC Charities. Wanting to help families facing food insecurity, Noah independently developed an app that supports MACC's mission by making it easier for donors to contribute to the organization's work.

With just the click of a button, supporters can connect with MACC and help provide the financial resources needed to continue offering basic emergency needs assistance to individuals and families in need. Noah's innovative solution demonstrates how technology can be used to create meaningful community impact.

We are incredibly proud of Noah for taking this project seriously, identifying a need, and creating a solution entirely on his own. His creativity, compassion, and dedication to helping others earned him top honors in his division and serve as an inspiring example of how young people can make a real difference.

Way to go, Noah!

This past Sunday, June 7, we were honored to attend the Celebration of Ministry Eucharist, gathering with the congregation and community to celebrate Concordia Lutheran Church as they conclude 132 years of ministry in Manchester.

As a founding member of MACC Charities, Concordia Lutheran Church helped lay the foundation for the organization we have become 53 years later. Their faith, vision, generosity, and commitment to serving others have touched countless lives and helped build a stronger, more compassionate community.

While this chapter of Concordia's ministry comes to a close, its godly heritage and enduring spirit will continue to live on through those who carry forward its legacy of love, service, and kindness. Knowing that the church's physical space will continue to serve the community is a testament to Concordia's unwavering love for Manchester and for all who live, work, worship, and visit here.

The name Concordia Lutheran Church will forever remain woven into the fabric of MACC Charities. We are deeply grateful for all that you have sacrificed, contributed, and inspired over the years to ensure that we can continue standing strong for our neighbors in need.

On behalf of all of us at MACC Charities, thank you for 132 years of faithful ministry, partnership, and service. Your legacy will continue to shine through the lives you have touched and the community you helped build.

Thank you to two amazing young volunteers who organized a food drive through Emanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester!
Not only did they collect food for our neighbors in need, but they also spent time sorting and stocking every donation they brought in for our pantry. Emanuel Lutheran of Manchester - The Church that Love Built
