It was an honor and a privilege to participate on Capitol Hill with USGLC and to represent the State of New Hampshire in an important discussion on the connection between global engagement and American leadership.
I shared three key priorities that directly impact our communities here at home:
🔹 **Health Security:** Infectious diseases know no borders. Investing in global health initiatives helps protect Americans by preventing outbreaks from becoming global crises.
🔹 **Economic Security:** Critical minerals from regions such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo support the technologies that power our economy. Promoting stability abroad helps strengthen our supply chains and economic resilience.
🔹 **Food Security:** Food insecurity can fuel instability and conflict. Supporting global food security efforts contributes to a safer and more stable world.
Today’s conversation reinforced a simple but powerful truth: what happens globally has local consequences. By engaging internationally, we help create a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future for our communities and our nation.
