🐑🔬 Parasite Patrol in action! 🐐

We had a great afternoon on October 15th with our sheep and goat producers at our Parasite Patrol program!

Participants got hands-on experience learning about internal parasites, performing f***l egg counts, and exploring practical ways to monitor and manage parasites in their herds and flocks.

Parasite management is an important part of keeping sheep and goats healthy, and giving producers tools they can take home and put to use makes these programs so valuable!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of learning, hands-on investigation, and all things parasite management! 🐐🔬

🍂🍁 Fall in Iowa = leaf season! 🍁🍂

Before you break out the rake, here's some good news... you don't have to bag every leaf! 🙌

✅ Leave leaves in garden beds to help insulate plants, improve soil, and support pollinators.
✅ Mulch leaves into your lawn with a mower when possible.
✅ Remove leaves that are smothering grass or debris from diseased plants.

Sometimes the best fall cleanup is doing a little less!

This nationally recognized certification program helps food service managers build their knowledge and skills to support safe food handling practices and protect the people they serve.
