The Clay County Coroner's Office is pleased to announce that we have a new Deputy Coroner. Welcome Deputy Amanda Jordan to the team! Thanks too all who applied for the position we had over 40 candidates, the top 4 were interviewed, and ultimately Amanda was selected.

The Clay County Coroner's Office is currently seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Deputy Coroner. Applicants Must be 21 years of age, a high school graduate, or possess a GED, and have no criminal history.

Law enforcement, Fire, EMS background is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants must be Clay County Residents and cannot already be an employee of the Clay County Fiscal Court under any capacity.

Applicants must have reliable transportation, have a flexible schedule, be able to attend 40 hours of mandatory in-service training and annual 2 days in-service training at various sites around the state. Must be detail-oriented and have basic computer skills.

Our most sincere condolences goes out to the family of those involved in the logging accident yesterday evening 12/29/20.
