Tomorrow is the Mesa Verde Literary Festival! How lucky are we to have over 50 authors and the Colorado Poet Laureate here in Mancos? Stop by the Mancos Visitor Center for programs, or check out the schedule on their website.

Mark your calendar: Tuesday, August 25th is FREE entrance to Mesa Verde National Park!

It's the National Park Service's 110th birthday, and they're waiving entrance fees nationwide, including right here at Mesa Verde. One important update for 2026: this fee is waved is for U.S. citizens and residents only, so bring ID just in case.

If you're planning your trip around this date, make Cortez, Dolores, or Mancos your homebase. All three are just minutes from the park entrance, with plenty of dining, lodging, and local flavor to round out your visit.
