Duhon James’ artwork visualizes Navajo life through a rotating cast of imagery, including stars, corn, water, teeth, textiles, hogans, and the universe. Drawing from observations of the cosmos through the seasons and stories shared by their grandmother and parents, their prints reflect their culture and explore the roles of women, prayer, and time. For them, time is a never-ending cycle. Their work also honors the elders who have brought each generation into the world and continue to teach through their knowledge, stories, and the traditions they pass on.

We are very excited to be a part of this magical, wonderful, production!

🦊 SOMETHING STRANGE IS COMING TO MANCOS…

For two weekends this October, Mancos will not be quite Mancos anymore.

Hidden doors will open. Alleys will become stages. Strange characters will appear.A vintage school bus will become something else entirely. And somewhere along the way… you may encounter a Golden Fox.

THE GOLDEN FOX PARADOX is a wildly imaginative, immersive theatre adventure that unfolds through the streets, businesses, hidden corners and unexpected spaces of downtown Mancos.

You won't sit in a theatre and watch the story.

You'll enter it.

Follow the trail. Meet the characters. Discover extraordinary art installations. Listen closely. Make choices. Wander into places you didn't know were waiting for you.

Think Alice in Wonderland meets Meow Wolf meets a wonderfully weird, magical Mancosland.

And this thing is BIG.

25 performers.15+ visual artists.8 local businesses transformed into pieces of the story.A vintage Silverton school bus.A mysterious little red cottage by the river. And an entire town becoming part of the adventure.

All built around one delicious question:

What does wonder know that certainty doesn't?

🦊 OCTOBER 2–4 & OCTOBER 9–11

Only 14 Intrepid Travellers enter the experience at a time.

That means every individual departure has a very limited number of tickets—and once your preferred time is gone, it's gone.

This isn't something we're planning to recreate every year.

This is your chance to experience it.

🦊 GET YOUR GOLDEN FOX TICKETS NOW: SUNFLOWERTHEATRE.ORG

Choose your departure time before the most popular slots disappear.
