Today we had the honor of bringing one of our own home. Aleta Driver and Ken Butcher drove to Billings and picked Dennis Chambers up. We met in Basin and got to bringing Dennis home in his favorite truck, tender 303. Dennis was a part of the crew for 12 years and is truly missed every single day. He didn't want a funeral but we think this was still a great way to come home for your last ride. In true Dennis fashion (even stuck in the back seat in the seat belt) he got to go on one last call. Upon arriving in Basin someone hit a pole and the crew had to help do traffic control. Dennis loved being apart of the department and he probably was having the last laugh.

We at the fire hall try and help people in the community. We have tried getting to people who need help with there weeds this summer. Fire fighter Ken Butcher went above and beyond today and helped an elderly couple with staining the window edges and door and help do some sealing. Thank you Ken for being such a wonderful person you are.

Manderson is under a flood watch today and tomorrow. Thanks to some help we was able to start filling some sand bags. If your in the area and need some please reach out or head on down.

Good evening Manderson. This morning the Bighorn fir district #3 fire department started to monitor the Bighorn and Nowood river for possible flooding. We have contacted the emergency management system and dispatch to let them know the river is high. We will continue to monitor all night as storms are still moving through. As of right now the town is not in an immediate danger. Please remember that if you see flooding don't cross or drive through it. If you need to report any flooding please call dispatch at 307-568-2324 or of an emergency call 911. If you have any questions please reach out. Thanks Chief Barbara Wall.

Fundraiser!!! We are going to be having a car wash in Manderson at the station on June 23rd starting at 10am. 10.00 a car. This will help us to purchase supplies needed for more training to help support our community better. Please spread the word. These supplies will be a variety of things. Like food and drinks during training. We do get the things needed to do training and for all calls. We like to be able to help keep things in stock for us to be able to stay healthy. Some of the members got to head over to this weekend. It was a great time had by all. Here we got to watch 2 of Denver's finest run through an interior search. Thanks to these 2 gentlemen we can be better prepared for what may occur. .
