Shoutout to our crews who showed up on this federal holiday to help get our community back to normal!

Today, crews picked up 150 cubic yards of debris and were called to check on multiple drainage ditches to ensure there were no blockages. Parish leadership and essential personnel responded to multiple calls, did multiple media interviews and ensured our crews had what they needed to serve you.

We live here too and ensuring that we get back to normal is our collective goal!

All non-essential St. Tammany Parish Government offices will be closed tomorrow, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth, a federal holiday. Business hours will resume on Monday, June 22, at 8 a.m.

Essential personnel will still be hard at work cleaning up our communities from the aftermath of Tropical Storm Arthur.

On June 19, 1865, Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, announcing the end of the Civil War and the freedom of all enslaved peoples. Juneteenth is a special reminder that we are all equal, with unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We will be closed for normal business today due to several of our staff being flooded in. We have a contingent of staff that are on site for animal care and cleaning. They also took out the tree on 1088 x 36 for everyone else.. If you have an animal emergency, please call 985-809-0183 for an ACO.

Flash flooding conditions caused by Tropical Storm Arthur have closed the Towers Building in Slidell for early voting until water subsides.

Early voting is still available at the Koop Drive Council Chambers in Mandeville & Justice Center Parking Garage in Covington.

Early voting is available today, June 18, and Saturday, June 20, from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Please note that all polling locations will be closed tomorrow, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.
