Girl Scout Troop 606 had an amazing time earning their Democracy for Daisies badge with a special visit to Town Hall!

Our Daisies learned how local government works, discovered ways community leaders help make decisions, and explored how every voice can make a difference. Girl Scout Troop 606 voted for NO HOMEWORK!

What a fantastic day on the links! The Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the New Hyde Park Lions Club, proudly hosted the Annual Charity Golf Outing on Monday, June 15, 2026, at beautiful Harbor Links Golf Course.

Golfers, sponsors, community leaders, and friends came together for a day filled with great swings, friendly competition, laughter, and most importantly, giving back to our community.

A special highlight of the day was honoring Cheryl Fajardo for her dedication, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact in our community. Congratulations, Cheryl, on this well-deserved recognition!

What a wonderful time at the Adventures in Learning End-of-Season Party! I was so happy to join in celebrating another fantastic year of learning, friendship, and community. A huge thank you to our incredible teachers for sharing their knowledge and passion, our enthusiastic students for embracing every opportunity to learn, and our dedicated volunteers who help make this program such a success.

The Center Street Service Club was thrilled to host local senior citizens for our annual Senior Prom - an evening filled with laughter, dancing, friendship, and unforgettable memories. This special event celebrates the power of intergenerational connections, bringing students and seniors together creating new friendships, and strengthening the bonds that make the Herricks community so unique.

Local vendors and generous Center Street families donated delicious food to help make this event such a success.

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Golf Team – Long Island Champions, Rebels Robotics Team 2638 – Participants in the World Championship, Co-Directors of the Student One-Act Plays, NYS Science Congress Tournament Qualifiers, and the International Society for Computational Biology Presenter.
