Congratulations to the MJHS Scholastic Bowl Team on winning the Regional Championship for the second year in a row! Your hard work, teamwork, and dedication continue to make us proud.

A special thank you to our coaches, Mrs. Hallihan and Mrs. Watson, for their leadership and support, and to the staff who made tonight possible- Ms. Squires, Ms. Faber, Mrs. Bendoraitis, Dr. Wolgan, Mrs. Hassett, Mrs. Goberville, Ms. Hallihan, and Mr. Sepulveda for organizing, moderating, judging, and running the computer systems.

Way to go Manhattan!!

A Huge Congratulations to Our Demon Musicians!

We can't express how incredibly proud we are of the outstanding achievements of our Band, Choir, and Orchestra students and directors at their recent IGSMA District Contests! MJHS hosted both the Orchestra contest as well as the Band contest the first two weekends in March at the direction of Mrs. Gurley and Mrs. Pedziwater.

🎻 Orchestra
Both Demon Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra earned Division I ratings, with Chamber Orchestra recognized as the top scoring orchestra of the day! Both orchestras will advance to compete at the State Competition in Joliet on Saturday, April 25th.

🎤 Choir
Demon Choir and Madrigals also earned Division I ratings, with Madrigals receiving the top score amongst all choral groups that day! Both groups will move on to the State Competition on April 25th in Joliet.

🎺 Band
Both our 6th Grade Band and Symphonic Band received Superior ratings and the Symphonic Band earned two perfect scores! Both groups will perform at the State Band Festival on April 25th.

We are so proud of the dedication, talent, and hard work shown by all of our Demon musicians and directors. Congratulations to all of our performers and best of luck as you represent MSD 114 at your state competitions! Go Demons! 🎶 💙🖤🤍

📢 Scouting for Food – Pick-Up Reminder! 🥫

The Scouts will be out on Sunday, October 26 to collect donations for the Manhattan Township Food Pantry.

If you didn’t receive a bag or misplaced yours, no problem!
You can use any paper or plastic bag for your donation.

🕛 Please place your donation on your driveway or sidewalk by NOON and make sure it's visible from the road.

As we kick off a brand-new year, please remember to be patient and allow a little extra time in the morning to reach your destination safely. 🚗🚌

Let’s all stay alert for children walking to school and watch out for school buses making their stops. Together, we can make this a safe and smooth start for everyone. 💙

***Attention MJHS Parents and Students***

The front of MJHS is still being sealcoated after the rains Saturday night. For at least tomorrow's Locker Move-In, parents will need to enter the property and park on the west side of the building, closest to the track field area. Please use the doors closest to the library (Door 24) to access the building. We will keep you posted about the rest of the week as soon as we know.

Our technology department has been working on the issues with PowerSchool all weekend (thanks, Mrs. Leppin). We do know that when students log into PowerSchool, they can see their locker information. When parents log in, they can see transportation information. We are working on the glitch that currently doesn't allow students and parents to see both, as they should.

We will have paper copies available at Locker Move-In for those students who need it.
