Today, August 19, 2025, U.S. News & World Report revealed their Best High Schools List. Manhattan High was named as #11 in the state of Kansas. We are beyond grateful for the recognition and proud of all of the opportunities MHS is able to provide to our students. We may be biased, but we think MHS is pretty great. Thank you to everyone who makes MHS and Manhattan such an amazing place!

🎯Our Goal: $165,000 by December 31, 2025.

💡 Why Donate? Because every gift helps families build strong, new lives — and supports the team and tools that make it all possible.

Here’s how your support makes a difference:
💬 $50 → Covers interpretation or translation services
🚗 $120 → Provides an Uber card so a refugee can commute to work when public transit isn’t available
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 $500 → Supports one month of case management for a family
🪑 $500 → Helps furnish an apartment for a new family
🏠 $1,000 → Provides emergency housing and utilities assistance
🎓 $1,000 → Supports the Estabrook Scholarship for refugee students pursuing higher education (tuition, books, essentials)

Beyond these, your donations also grow vital programs like:
💼 Job Readiness Program to help clients gain employment skills
💻 Laptops so families can access education, jobs, and community resources
🚘 Driver Education to ensure independence and mobility
🏢 Operating & Overhead Support to cover essential costs that keep MART running and responsive to urgent needs

No mother should have to run barefoot toward gunfire to save their child, but that’s exactly what this mom instinctively did when she learned about the horrific mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School yesterday.

Images like this are hard to look at, but we cannot look away. We must do everything we can to prevent another parent from experiencing this same panic, fear, and devastation.

Text READY to 644-33 to join the millions of mothers and others fighting for solutions to this preventable crisis.

Great view, Mark!

Taken on a somewhat cooler day in the Capitol City.

Be aware of this change. And dont be alarmed by emergency vehicles in the neighborhood near MHS.

Active violence drills will be held at the High School July 10, 11 and 12th so there will be no meals at the High School these days. All other meal sites will still be open so feel free to still join us at any of our other locations!

Great picture Steve Lee. Had to share this. I am so excited about this place. I share my excitement with all our shopping guests from out of town and our regulars. Can’t wait to see all the new visitors that we will see when it opens.
