Manhattan Special Olympics

Manhattan Special Olympics Created by The Joseph P Kennedy, Jr. Foundation for the benefit of persons with intellectual disabil Coaches and volunteers are always welcome.

Manhattan Special Olympics currently has over 90 athletes who participate in the four sports we offer. You don't need to know much about the sport, just come and be ready to have fun! Manhattan Special Olympics is run by a board of individuals who donate their time to make MSO as exceptional as it can be. Board members include:

What a great first volleyball practice! We introduced some stretching stations and Bal-A-Vis-X stations to work on our flexibility and balance. Of course, we also did some passing, setting & serving! Can’t wait to see what this season brings with all the hard work we saw today!

Are you ready for some volleyball?
Practices are Sundays from 1:00-3:00pm at the Anthony Rec Center, starting August 16th. There is no sign-up - just show up and be ready to play and have fun!

Regional Competition is Saturday, October 24th. Reminder - athletes must have a current Special Olympics physical on file ASAP to compete at Regionals. Physical forms can be found here: https://soks.org/get-involved/join-the-kansas-special-olympics/

We are also looking for volunteers for coaching, scrimmaging, and/or general support for athletes during practices! You don’t have to be a volleyball expert at all - just check in with Coach Jamie and information will be given before the start of each practice.
