The Manhattan Emergency Shelter, Inc. is the only emergency shelter in Riley County open to homeless men, women and families. They lift up our neighbors by offering supportive housing, rapid re-housing and more.

We are beyond excited to share an incredible contribution to our shelter! The Kansas State University Freedom by Design team dedicated so much time, creativity, and hard work to building this amazing donation station for us — a space where we can sort and organize incoming donations more efficiently.

We are so grateful for their generosity, kindness, and the care they put into this project. Thank you all so much for your support and for helping make a difference in our shelter! ❤️

MESI is currently in need of a few items to help us continue to run smoothly and keep everything nice and clean! 🥰 We are currently needing:

- Trash bags
- Disposable gloves
- Bleach, floor cleaner, spray cleaner, other various cleaning supplies
- Laundry detergent
- Snacks (and foods that are easy to prepare)!
- Miscellaneous items: lotion

You can drop donations off at our shelter, 416 S 4th St, any day and any time before 9pm. We are so grateful to those who donate items and supplies to us -- we truly couldn't do it without you!! 💕
