After graduation, Mikeayla Samuelson will be starting her teaching career as an Agricultural Education teacher at Shawnee Heights High School next year.

Her favorite memory from her time at K-State was the Corn Tour, where she got to spend time learning alongside her classmates and professors. Her advice to future students is to trust and lean on your professors, they’re there to help and will support you through anything.

Morgan Young is staying at K-State for her next chapter, heading to graduate school in Curriculum and Instruction.

When she looks back on her time here, it’s the relationships that stand out most. Connections made through housing, campus groups, and Ag Ed turned into a support system that stuck, whether it was grabbing coffee, studying in the library, or going to games at the Bill. Her advice is to take chances and start conversations. Many of her opportunities came from simply connecting with others, and those relationships can last well beyond college.

Kaelyn Sumner is heading back to East Central Wisconsin after graduation to teach agriculture at the middle and high school level.

One of her favorite parts of the Ag Ed program at K-State was getting involved in trips and opportunities outside the classroom, especially the Corn Tour sponsored by Kansas Corn. Her advice for future Ag Ed students: take every opportunity you can. She also recommends substitute teaching as a way to see different teaching styles and learn what works best for you.

Daniel Moylan is launching his teaching career at Pike Valley High School, where he’ll be working with the Pike Valley FFA chapter. Some of Daniel’s favorite memories from K-State include getting to know people he now calls close friends and learning from faculty who helped shape the kind of teacher he wants to be.

His advice to future Ag Ed students is simple and solid: build strong relationships with your advisors. They’ve been where you’re going, and they’re a great resource.

Congrats, Daniel! We know you’ll do great things.

Allie Seltman is stepping into her own classroom as the Agricultural Education teacher at Sublette Middle/High School.

Being part of the Ag Ed major and Ag Ed Club gave Allie the chance to build strong connections, explore different content areas, and discover interests she didn’t expect when she started.

Her advice is one we stand by: your experience is what you make it. Get involved, challenge yourself, and meet new people. Congrats, Allie! We can’t wait to see the impact you make.
