Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center - Manhattan

Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center - Manhattan We offer hope through riding to ALL individuals. Sign up for Therapeutic, Western, or English lessons!

While we provide lessons to all riders, Hope Ranch was founded to improve the lives of physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially disabled individuals through horsemanship. We provide a safe environment and atmosphere where the connection with the horse and rider allows each individual to develop a sense of self-worth and hope. Did you know we even have a lift where we can provide the opportunity to our students in wheelchairs to mount their horse and ride?!

The warm weather is here to stay and lessons, trail rides, & one time rides are booking up quickly! We are excited to bring on another instructor to our team. If you see Taylor around the barn, stop and say hello!

Hi, my name is Taylor Haas!

I am originally from Minnesota and am currently a junior at Kansas State University studying kinesiology on the pre-occupational therapy track. I have been riding horses my entire life and have competed in a variety of disciplines, including western pleasure, English equitation, halter, and rodeo events with barrel racing being my main focus.

I am beyond excited to be a part of Hope Ranch and to share my passion and love for horses with others!

Meet the face behind the phone. Many of you already know our instructor, Phallioan (pronounced Fallon), who has recently taken over the responsibility of scheduling lessons and one time rides for Hope Ranch.

Phallioan Dyson is a college student at K-State studying Animal Science with an equine certificate. She is originally from a small town in Oklahoma where she was actively involved in rodeo, FFA, and competitive sports growing up which built a strong foundation in both horsemanship and teamwork.

At K-State, Phallioan assists the horse judging team and has a passion for working with animals. Outside of the barn, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking her dog, Demi, out for pup cups.

Feel free to reach out to Phallioan on the Hope Ranch phone (785) 587-8180 for any questions about scheduling with us!

We are heartbroken to share that our kitten Boots crossed the rainbow bridge today 🌈. He was deeply loved by our riders, families, and staff, and his presence will be missed tremendously by all who knew him.

At this time, we would also like to remind everyone that dogs are not permitted at Hope Ranch without prior approval. For the safety of all of our animals and participants, any approved dogs MUST be kept on a LEASH at all times while on the premises.

Thank you for your understanding.

Team Hope Ranch is taking the plunge—literally!

At Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center, we see every day how inclusive programs, community support, and adaptive opportunities can change lives one ride at a time. That mission aligns closely with the Polar Plunge—supporting individuals of all abilities and strengthening our community through compassion and teamwork.

While our riders gain confidence and independence through equine-assisted activities, the Polar Plunge helps fund programs that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across our community. Different paths with the same purpose we are proud to participate as Team Hope Ranch and ask for your support as we help fundraise for Polar Plunge 2026.

Please consider donating by February 14, 2026
Every contribution—big or small—helps make a meaningful impact. Thank you for supporting!
