Tuttle Creek State Park is composed of five units: River Pond, Rocky Ford, Cedar Ridge, Randolph, and Fancy Creek. Located near Manhattan in northeast Kansas, Tuttle Creek State Park offers visitors a broad variety of outdoor recreation possibilities and plenty of room to roam. The communities of Manhattan, Wamego, Fort Riley, Olsburg, Randolph and Westmoreland offer nearby eating establishments a

nd visitor opportunities. Tuttle Creek Reservoir, the state's second largest impoundment, offers 12,500 acres of water and approximately 100 miles of rugged, wooded shoreline to explore.

Please do not drive around or move the barricades on Spillway Marina Road. While the road may no longer underwater, the sub surface needs time to dry out so not to cause damage to the road. Until further, please use the Taylor’s View Road entrance into the park.

As families and friends head to Kansas lakes for the 4th of July holiday, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks reminds boaters that alcohol and water are a dangerous combination.

During the national Operation Dry Water campaign, Kansas Game Wardens will be increasing patrols across the state to help keep our waterways safe. Impaired boating slows reaction time, reduces judgment, and increases the risk of serious injury or death for everyone on the water.

Whether you're boating, fishing, paddling, or simply enjoying a day at the lake, make safety your priority. Designate a sober operator, always wear your life jacket, and never boat under the influence.

Enjoy the holiday weekend, make lasting memories, and help keep Kansas waters safe for everyone.
