🚓✨ This past Tuesday, we had the great honor of spending time with some future Wildcats at Wonder Workshop! 🐾💜

Our team had a blast teaching students about fingerprints 🖐️🔍, introducing them to our Drone Team program 🚁, and showing off the equipment we carry on our uniforms 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️ and in our patrol vehicles 🚔⚡️

The future is bright with these young Manhappeners! 🌟🐱💜

Urgent K-State Alert: Severe weather is expected this afternoon. Salina campus will begin limited operations with essential personnel only at 1 p.m. Manhattan campus will begin limited operations at 2 p.m.
All in-person intersession classes are canceled from 1 p.m. on for the Salina campus and from 2 p.m. for the Manhattan campus.
Employees should contact supervisors if they have questions.

During National Police Week 2026, the Kansas State University Police Department joins agencies across the nation in honoring the service, sacrifice, and commitment of law enforcement professionals everywhere.
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and designated the calendar week in which it falls as National Police Week. Established through a joint resolution of Congress, this week serves as a time to remember and recognize the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while protecting others.
We pause this week to honor the fallen, support the families and coworkers who carry their memory forward, and recognize the dedication of those who continue to serve our communities each day.

Big shout-out to our partners at the CARE Office (Center for Advocacy, Response & Education) for organizing this year’s Denim Day event in Bosco Plaza this past Wednesday 💜👖

The event helped raise awareness and promote education around sexual assault, and it was great to see so many on- and off-campus partners united in support of survivors and prevention efforts 🤝

We appreciated the many meaningful conversations with fellow K-Staters throughout the event 🐾

On Wednesday, we celebrated Amanda Day (also known as Administrative Professionals Day) 💜🐾

Unfortunately, someone forgot to grab a photo that day (ahem… Cap 😅), so we’re making up for it now!

Amanda serves K-State PD and the entire Wildcat Community in so many ways that it’s hard to fully capture—customer service, department morale, quality control, report distribution, supplies, K-State super fandom, and so much more. Her impact is felt every single day, in ways that often go unmentioned.

Thank you, Amanda! You are a true K-State superstar 💜⭐🐾

As National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize and showcase our incredible Dispatch staff and the vital work they do for K-State and the entire Wildcat community 💜🐾

They are K-State’s first first responders—the voice on the other end of the line when help is needed most 📞 The calm in the chaos, not only for our community, but often for our officers as well 🚔
