Thanks to the K-State College of Agriculture for highlighting horticulture alum Mark Illausky '01 of Free State Growers in Linwood, KS!

Horticulture alumnus Mark Illausky found a unique way to get hands-on industry experience while at K-State. While balancing a busy academic schedule in the fall, Mark would work full-time at Kaw Valley Greenhouses in the spring, earning industry connections and expertise.

“It really gave me that hands-on experience, and that was unbelievable,” Mark said. “It still is to this day.”
