The Daggett County Emergency Management is encouraging all residents to prepare for Snow Melt.

If you are worried, plan ahead and have sandbags filled so they can be used right away. Clearing snow around your home by at least 6-12" will help prevent flooding. Also contact your insurance to see about flood coverage especially if you live near a canal, creek, river, or a low-lying area.

See the information below on where you can purchase sandbags.

SCAM ALERT

It has come to the attention of the Sheriff’s Office, that Detective David Bradley, is calling residents of Daggett County and advising that they have an active warrant that needs to be paid.

This is the same old scam that has been circulating for quite some time and seems to surface throughout the state. Please be advised that Daggett County Sheriff’s Office does not employ anybody named David Bradley and we will never call and demand payment over the phone.

If you receive a telephone call such as this do not give any money, gift card, or any other financial transaction over the phone. If you have questions please feel free to call our office, (435)784-3255

The sheriff would like to remind people that picking up hitchhikers is unsafe. If you see someone stranded, call dispatch using the non-emergency line (435)789-4222. Although most people are harmless, all it takes is one to ruin your day, your loved one's day, and ours. Please be careful.
