Today we celebrated the retirement of Sergeant Tony Howard. Sergeant Howard has been an integral part of our corrections team since he was hired in 2006.

We are grateful for his time spent with our office and will miss his smile and positive attitude around the office and the jail.

We always appreciate them, but during this National Correctional Officers Week we want to recognize our corrections staff for the difficult job they do.

The dedication, professionalism, and pride of our staff is something that makes me proud every day to share the uniform with them.

We can't thank our staff and correctional officers everywhere enough for the important work they do.

The Manistee County Sheriff's Office is requesting public assistance in locating the vehicle and individuals in these photos. The vehicle has one working headlight, a missing fuel door, and a missing piece of black trim on the driver's door.

We are excited to introduce you to the newest member of our road patrol division! K-9 Jaxx and his partner, Deputy Brendan Cook have graduated from training and are excited to get to work.

Jaxx is a 1 1/2-year-old Belgian Malinois and has demonstrated exceptional skills in tracking and narcotics detection.
