Last night we held our second annual Family Fun Night! It is always great to see members outside of the firehouse when we can sit down to talk and learn a little more about each other and our families. Seeing people give up a Saturday night to build on our fire department family relationship is truly heartwarming. Also want to say “Thank You” to Chief Herrman for allowing us to have this event. Our families pay a price every time we leave for a call, meeting, or training. Tonight was about showing our loved ones that are also part of our Fire family!

Again we ask for your help in preventing field fires.

With the lack of rainfall and crops starting to turn the Forman Fire Department is wanting to ask for the help of local farmers. We would like to ask farmers to sign up to receive alerts if there is a need to help control a fire. A call back number would be given and directions of where the help is needed. We hope that we can at least get 2 to 3 in each end of our district. Please call 309-303-3112 to sign up. Thank you Chief Herrman

We are thankful for the generous donation. We continue to provide our responders with what they need to do their job safely and efficiently. The new radios allow us to communicate with many other county and state agencies that we were unable to before.

The Forman Valley Community Foundation (FVCF) is pleased to announce a $35,500 grant was issued to the Forman Fire Protection District. The grant will be used to purchase Starcom Radio Equipment. The John D. Phillips and Frances O'Connell Funds within the FVCF provided the money needed for this request. The generosity of our communities to the FVCF provides funding for our grants. Pictured is Fire Chief, Doug Herrman, receiving the check from Dirk Heinhorst, FVCF president.
