The Varsity Raiders basketball team finished up with a very successful 5-1 record at the Farmington Summer League. They had victories over North Fulton, Bushnell-Prairie City, Lewistown, Illini Bluffs, and Farmington. The JV Raiders also were 5-1 in the league. The June session for the boys will conclude next week as they head to the Wisconsin Dells to battle some tough competition from throughout the Midwest. A big thank you goes out to the MC Booster Club for the financial assistance for the trip. The support of the program is greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to our primary school teachers and students! There are and estimated 5400 public and private school buildings that can be chosen for this in the state of IL.

The state intends to recognize 16 of these schools next year, emphasizing schools that have demonstrated success in closing achievement gaps.

Here is a group photo from camp Friday, plus a photo with the Hot Shot and Free Throw champions. Reid Sidders (8th, shown on left) won Hot Shot and Evan Kolves (8th, shown on right) won the Free throw competitions. Noah Kohtz (8th) finished 2nd in FTs and Ben Deluhery (6th) 2nd in HS.

The Boys Raider youth Camp finished up on Friday with some skills training, fun competitions, and even a Raider run against the High School players! Each day throughout the week, 2 campers were awarded the Raider Award based on attitude and effort. What a great week to be a Raider!

Summer Meal Program Reminder

The Summer Meal Program will begin next Thursday from 4:00–6:00 PM at MCMS (121 N. Church Street / Green Valley).

Please note that meals must be picked up by a parent, legal guardian, or approved caregiver. Students may not pick up meals on their own.

See the attached map for pickup location. We are excited to help provide meals for local families throughout the summer!

In cooperation with Tazewell County Health Department, U of I Extension, and Ujima Hunger Coalition, Midwest Central School District, South Pekin School District, and Delavan School District are offering free meals for children this summer. We will accept any school age child above 1 year that wants to come to this site as long as parent/ guardian has them registered. Please see the attached flier for registration and pick up location information.

We had a good first day of the Lady Raider basketball camp! It's going to be a great week!
