WISCAP's March Agency Spotlight: ✨Lakeshore Community Action Program✨

Serving the counties of Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Kewaunee, and Door.

One standout program is the Rubber Ducky Diaper Depot, which provides essential diapering supplies to families in need, helping ease financial stress and support child well-being.

Through this program, Lakeshore Community Action Program offers:

- Up to 50 diapers or pull-ups per child, per month
- Wipes and diaper cream
- Large-size diapers for children up to age 18 with a medical need

A Rubber Ducky Diaper client shares, "The Rubber Ducky Diaper Program has been a helpful and supportive resource for me as a single mom. Having access to this program has eased some of the everyday stress that comes with caring for my child on my own. Knowing that there is support available provides reassurance during challenging moments and helps me feel less overwhelmed. I truly appreciate the assistance and the positive impact it has had on my family."

Executive Director, Colleen Homb says, "The best part of my job as Executive Director is working alongside a group of people who show up every day with the goal of making someone else’s day better. Many families in our community face incredibly challenging situations. Our team listens with compassion and works to connect them with solutions and resources that help ease some of the burden so they can focus on achieving their goals. Hearing the success stories and reading the notes of gratitude is truly heartwarming. We simply serve as a vessel of support. When individuals and families facing hardship reach out, use the resources we offer, and work toward goals that lead them to a stable situation where they no longer need our services, it is an honor to stand beside them and witness the success they have worked so hard to achieve."

💙💙💜💜

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support during this year’s Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive 💙

Because of the generosity of our community, along with the dedication of local agencies who coordinated collection sites and donation boxes, and the many volunteers who helped collect, organize, and sort items, we have received a wonderful supply of essential hygiene products for those we serve.

These everyday necessities—things many of us take for granted—make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in our care. Your kindness helps restore dignity, comfort, and hope.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this effort. We are truly thankful to be part of such a compassionate community. 🥰
