Manitowoc County Human Services CCS

Manitowoc County Human Services CCS CCS provides and arranges the provision of psycho-social rehabilitation services. The goal of the CCS is to "meet the client where they are".

CCS-Comprehensive Community Services-is a program that helps people better manage symptoms of mental health and/or substance abuse conditions and live their best life. Psycho-social rehabilitation services are a wide range of traditional and non-traditional services and supportive activities that assist members with mental health and/or substance abuse conditions who need more comprehensive servic

es than just outpatient (OP) can provide but less than in-patient or institutional care. This is meant in two ways; where the person is in their recovery, as well as where the person is physically. CCS is person centered, so the client chooses the path of their treatment plan, and services can be provided in a non-traditional setting. Oftentimes, services are provided in the client's home or in the community. CCS is a Medicaid funded psycho-social rehabilitation program. CCS is delivered by county based or tribal based organizations who are DQA and Medicaid certified. CCS is supervised by the Department of Health Services (DHS). Manitowoc County has been CCS certified since 2005, and since 2014 is now part of a regionalized shared services model CCS called the Northeast Region CCS Consortium.

Each year on June 8, we celebrate National Upsy Daisy Day. This fun day is set aside to encourage everyone to face the day positively and to get up ‘gloriously, gratefully and gleefully’ each morning.
Every day is a gift. If we remember that as we rise each morning, it will help us carry a good attitude throughout the day, whatever the day may bring us. Life is full of challenges and bumps in the road. It's our attitude that helps us over the bumps to help us get through the challenges to move onward with a smile. Give it a try.
