What if an empty school could become a place where lives begin again?

For generations, McKinley School was a place where children learned, grew, and dreamed about their futures. Together, we have the opportunity to give this historic building a new purpose.

The McKinley Project will transform the school into 36 affordable and transitional apartments, creating a place where individuals and families can find stability, hope, and a pathway forward.

THANK YOU to the Knights of Columbus Council 710 from St Francis of Assisi (Manitowoc) presented a check for $2456 to the Manitowoc Warming Shelter. Accepting the check is Ken Walters (green shirt) from some of the over 200 Knights. (Ken represents the Knights on the Shelter's Steering Committee).

On Monday afternoon, Girl Scouts from Troop 8117 took a tour of The Manitowoc Warming Shelter and learned about our guests. They donated a lot of much needed bus tokens and many boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Thank you!

This mountain of supplies was collected by The Pour House and 920 CBD.

The most valuable items are the bag of bus tokens on top. Our guests use them to get to job interviews, medical appointments, etc.
