🚌 REMINDER: Stop for School Buses 🚌
With school starting, we'd like to remind everyone about the new City ordinance requiring all school buses to use flashing red lights at every stop within the City of Two Rivers.
Please take a moment to review the rules below, these are simple steps that make a big difference for our kids safety getting on and off the bus.
🛑Stop distance: You must stop at least 20 feet from the bus.
🛑Flashing red lights: You must remain stopped as long as the red lights are flashing.
🛑Stop arm: You must also stop if the stop arm is extended.
🛑Which direction: Stop if you are approaching from the rear or the front.
🛑Divided highways: You are not required to stop for a bus with flashing red lights if your vehicle is on the opposite side of a divided highway, which is separated by a physical barrier or a median.
💲Not stopping can result in a fine of $700.
