Our annual Beach Monitoring Program started back up today! Every year water samples are collected and tested at several local beaches for unsafe levels of bacteria and harmful algae blooms.

Last year, 548 samples were collected from 11 beaches. 79 advisories and 31 beach closures were issued.

Water quality advisories and beach closures will be available again in just a few days! Check water conditions before you head out at https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Beaches/AdvisoryMap.html
