Manitowoc County Democratic Party Mission Statement
The mission of the Manitowoc County Democratic Party is to
promote progressive values by:

1.

Informing the public on issues that are important to the citizens of Manitowoc County and mobilizing them to enact progressive change.

2. Recruiting candidates to run for and win public office and providing candidates with grassroots organization and financial support.

3. Training our membership to help candidates win elections.

4. Raising significant sums of money to support this mission.

Yesterday, volunteers from the Kiel Democrats cleaned up County Road XX, our Adopt a Highway stretch from the Highway 67 intersection east to Lax Chapel Road. Their work brings our 2026 total to over 200 pounds of trash collected off the highway system.

Amy Binsfeld, a former Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, served in the majority while school districts faced underfunding and communities were repeatedly asked to approve property tax increases.
In 2024, voters in Assembly District 26 chose Joe Sheehan over Binsfeld. Now, she’s seeking a promotion to the Wisconsin State Senate in District 9. Voters rejected her in 2024. Why give her another chance at a higher office?
There is an alternative: Christian Ellis, an independent candidate for Wisconsin State Senate District 9. Voters deserve a choice beyond the usual party politics.

With no Democrat on the November ballot for WI State Senate District 9, Christian Ellis stands out as the best option for voters looking for independent, common-sense leadership in Madison. Ellis, an Independent, is running for the seat being vacated by the retiring Devin LeMahieu. The district covers most of Sheboygan County, the Manitowoc and Two Rivers areas, and part of Fond du Lac County.
