Hey youth! Here are the meals & activities for the week!

We're looking for individuals, families, businesses, faith communities, and community groups to help provide meals for the youth and young adults who visit the LSS Youth Resource Center - Mankato.

Meals are available during Resource Center hours, Monday through Thursday from 2:00-5:00 PM. We ask meal providers to plan for approximately 40 youth and deliver meals by 1:00 PM on their scheduled day. Donations of beverages and baked goods are also welcome.

If you'd like to make a difference for local youth, please consider signing up for an open date on our meal calendar.

✨️ Our One Stop Shop is back! ✨️

Join us on Tuesday, August 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mankato East High School. Families are welcome to stop by anytime during the event. No appointment is needed!
This event is open to ALL Mankato Area Public Schools families, including families enrolling new students and current MAPS families. Whether your student attends school on the east side, west side, or anywhere else in the district, everyone is welcome. Mankato East High School is simply where we're hosting the event!

Stop by for help with:
✔️ Enrolling new students
✔️ Returning family census verification
✔️ Address changes (verification is required)
✔️ Grades 6 to 12 sports registration
✔️ Educational benefits applications
✔️ ECFE and Community Education registration

Our staff will be available throughout the day to answer questions, provide support, and help you get everything ready for the new school year.
We look forward to welcoming families from across the district!

Join us for Nicollet County Project Community Connect on Thursday, August 6, 1- 4 p.m. in the St. Peter Community Center.

Public Health nurses will be hosting a Teddy Bear Clinic for young children attending the event. This fun, interactive activity helps children feel more comfortable and prepared for well-child visits, vaccinations, and other healthcare experiences.

Children can choose a free stuffed animal and practice healthcare skills like putting on bandages, getting an “X-ray,” and learning what happens during a visit with a nurse or provider.

The Teddy Bear Clinic is a great way to make healthcare visits feel less intimidating and more positive for young children.

We gets some calls about donating these types of items to our resource center. Unfortunately -we do not have the storage space to store...Donate to A Fresh Start! They are fantastic, and we utilize their program for many of our young people who obtain housing
