We are excited to share a meaningful and growing partnership with Ridgewater College’s nursing program in Willmar. Each semester, one of MNRAAA’s Program Developers presents the Dementia Friends initiative to nursing students—helping equip future healthcare professionals with the knowledge, empathy, and tools to better support individuals living with dementia. This effort ensures that as these students enter the workforce, they carry forward a dementia-friendly mindset into clinics, hospitals, and long-term care settings across our region. We just held our most recent session, partnering with Atwater Area Help for Seniors, where 20 students attended.
