Did you know we have Dragon's Eggs out at the Community Farm?!? 🐉

Dragon Egg Cucumbers, that is! 🥒

As you can see, they are white and egg shaped, but when we opened one - no dragons, just delicious cucumber goodness!

Everyone who tasted it said it was good - softer, more tender and sweeter than a standard cuke.

Have any of you tried a Dragon Egg Cucumber before? Or grown any interesting heirloom cucumber varieties?!?

As we come to the last few days of July we near the end of our tool drive (please know you can donate tools all year round - we're just highlighting the drive this month) we wanted to give once last call out for "repair tools."

Repair tools are pretty much any tool you would use to fix something - when something breaks at the farm or gardens it's nice to have the tools on hand to fix it. We're talking hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and the queen daddy of them all: the electric drill!!

If you have gently used repair tools you're wanting to donate, or would like to see the other items we are in need of, follow the link below to our website:

Let's talk grub hoes...
They're a heavy duty hoe designed to rapidly chop through hard soil and plant stems. They are especially useful when tilling soil - if you've used one before you know just how handy they are to have around!

If you have gently used grub hoes you're wanting to donate, or would like to see the other items we are in need of, follow the link below to our website:
