VILLAGE NEWS
Just some information
MAY MEETING
The meeting for May will be on Tuesday May 12 at 7:00 pm due to two Board members being gone and there would not be a quorum.
BURN PILE
The brush pile has been burned and ready for new material. Please remember that this is for brush only. NOT full tree trunks, NOT furniture, NOT a trash dump. Once the pile was burned springs were found from a chair. There were several cans and other non burnable trash. Please respect this area and if this continues then the pile may have to be shut down. Thank you
The remains of a piece of furniture.
GARAGE SALES
There are few families in town who are having garage sales on May 8 and 9. Sorry for the late notice. This is the same weekend as Weeping Water’s town garage sales. Since Pillage the Village is not going to happen this year there will be no garage sales in August. If you want to have a garage sale in a couple weeks, please contact Madison Smith at 402-269-0523 or
[email protected]. If you are not able to join this time there has been talk of having fall garage sales.
VILLAGE CLERK
There is still no clerk hired so there are not any set office hours. Denise Swenson is doing the office work at the present time until a clerk is hired. If you see her red van or golf cart parked there then please stop if you need something. You may also call her at 402-677-2587.
WATER BOOKS
The water books have been delivered. If you did not get a book please contact Denise Swenson or leave a message at the office phone, 402-234-2304.
OUR FURRY FRIENDS
As always, please keep your four legged family members in tact. There are times that all of these loved ones escape and go wandering. Call the resident if you know who owns the animal. If unknown then call Denise as there are records in the office to identify the owner.
Also there are several of you who have still not registered your dog(s) and/or cat(s). The fee is $5.00 an animal plus a $10.00 late charge per animal since it is past March 15, 2026.
