It’s been an incredible few weeks at TECH RESQ! We’ve been out on the ropes and in the water, refining the technical skills that make the difference when it counts.

The best part? Reconnecting with old friends and making plenty of new friends along the way. The energy and professionalism you all brought to the site was outstanding.

This week, a few of our instructors wrapped up the Tower Rescue Technician Course hosted by CMC: Rescue, Safety, Access and RAKM Tower Rescue in Vinita, Oklahoma!

Our instructors are dedicated to continually improving their skills and staying current with the latest industry standards and best practices. That way, we can bring the most effective and up-to-date training to our students in every class we teach.

We had an incredible time over the last month working with members of the Sand Springs Fire Department, Rolling Hills Fire Department, and Little Axe Fire Department as they completed our Rope Rescue Technician course!

These photos only scratch the surface of the hot, challenging conditions these firefighters faced—but they never let it slow them down. Their hard work, determination, and teamwork were outstanding, and we couldn’t be more proud of this group! Sand Springs Fire Department Thank you for being great hosts during this training!

We had a fantastic time a few weeks ago providing Swiftwater Rescue training for our friends at Wagoner County Emergency Management!

It’s always great to be back with some of our long-time clients who bring us in year after year to train their personnel. Seeing familiar faces, watching their skills grow, and knowing they’re better prepared to respond when the call comes is exactly why we do what we do.

From throw-bag techniques to in-water rescue scenarios, this team worked hard and brought their A-game. Proud to be part of their continued commitment to safety and service!

We recently wrapped up our Rope Rescue I course hosted by the Bixby Fire Department and they were absolutely outstanding hosts! This class was truly unique, bringing together not only experienced veterans but also 10 brand-new recruits with just three weeks on the job. Watching these new firefighters dive in, work hard, and learn alongside seasoned professionals was inspiring. We’re excited to see what the future holds for this department, and we have no doubt these recruits will go on to achieve great things!

🚨 Turn Around, Don’t Drown – It’s Not Just a Slogan, It’s a Lifesaving Decision 🚨

Our hearts go out to the families impacted by the recent flooding tragedies across Oklahoma. In Moore, two lives were tragically lost after being swept away in floodwaters, and in Bixby, two more remain missing. These heartbreaking events are stark reminders of just how dangerous moving water can be.

At TECH RESQ, we train first responders to deal with water rescues, and we can tell you—just 6 inches of moving water can knock a person off their feet, and 12 inches can carry away most vehicles. It happens faster than you think, and once it starts, the current is unforgiving.

We urge everyone: Do not drive into flooded roadways. Do not try to walk through moving water. Do not take the risk.

🛑 If you see water over the road:
Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
Your life and the lives of your loved ones depend on that one decision.
