We apologize for the short notice but we have a company currently working on sirens. They will be testing the ones on Birch and the main one here in town here shortly. It will most likely activate all of them. Thanks!

If you see smoke around Mannford this morning, it’s supposed to be there. The Mannford Fire Department is doing a prescribed burn near Evans Road and Greenwood. This is an effort to burn off fuel to help prevent wildfires and protect property as we move into wildfire season.

Silver City and the Army Corps of Engineers are helping as well.

⚠️ Weather Advisory – Drive With Caution ⚠️

👮🏼‍♀️ Officers will be checking vehicles throughout the city during the weather event. Vehicles that have been checked will be marked with ribbon, similar to caution tape, so we know contact has already been made.

If your vehicle is off the roadway, our primary concern will be your safety. We will work to get you to a warm, safe location and out of the weather.
We strongly encourage everyone to stay off the roads if conditions become as severe as predicted.

For your safety and the safety of first responders, we ask that you only travel if absolutely necessary.

Please plan ahead, use caution, and stay safe.
