Water Main Break
Tuesday Morning Update - August 25, 2026

Contractors are on site working to fix the water main break. You may experience low pressure or water loss during this process. We will update on Facebook and our website when the repairs are complete.

Update: We anticipate repairs being wrapped up shortly. There is no need to boil water.

Please be advised that there is an 8" water line break that may affect the following areas: Huggins Hill, Country Club, Country Club Estates, and along Highway 260.

Other areas that may experience low water pressure include: Church St. all the way down to the Alcolu Exxon, Hampton Estates, Old Georgetown Rd., and Laurence Manning Academy.

In addition, work is underway on S. Church Street and E. Hospital St., which may affect the following areas: Manning Lane Apts., Village St. Claire Apts., and Wisteria Way Apts.

Crews are working to complete the repairs as soon as possible.

The Splash Pad at Gibbons Street Park is open. Just a friendly reminder that to activate the splash pad all it needs is a gentle wave over the sensor.

The repairs to the splash pad have been completed, and it is open.

In order to activate the water feature, push the button on the stand at the edge of the concrete pad.
